Derek graduated from Northern Illinois University where he earned his degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis is Fitness Leadership. Derek has competed in multiple sports throughout his life including baseball, football, track, and wrestling. After high school, Derek played outside linebacker in college until injury sidelined his football career. With his health restored, he elected to enter the United States Marine Corps.

Upon returning from his service, Derek completed his degree, became certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), personal trained, taught land and water based group fitness classes, and served as the General Manager of large, multi-purpose fitness facilities.

During his 16+ year career, Derek has developed a reputation for delivering exceptional performance results based on the needs of the individual and his ability to motivate them to accomplish more.

Dan graduated from Northern Illinois University with his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology & Physical Education. His insatiable desire to research, study, and learn has helped Dan develop into an elite trainer in the exercise field. Dan’s clientele ranges from the general population to the professional athlete.

Currently Dan is the Director of Sports Performance and leads the Total Performance Program for athletes.

Joe has been a professional trainer since 2007 and joined the AHP staff in January of 2010. Having been an athlete his entire life and a 3 year starting QB for Millikin University, Joe understands the effort and discipline it takes to be successful in sports.

No matter what your goals are, whether sports related or general fitness, Joe enjoys designing effective programs to help his clients achieve them.
